Ok so I got a white 16gb iphone 3g for my 18th birthday on december 23rd. The day of my birthday i went and bought this case at att for 30.00. On january 6th the clip on the case broke that locks it in place on the back. Well i went to att and had it replaced only to get home and find this case had something wrong with the black film that is internal and goes around the sides. It looked like it was cracked. Anyway i figured i would fix it so i removed the membrane part of the case on the front and decided to remove all the black plastic material and "repaint" it. i tried and it didn't work out so out of anger i broke the case, lol. I tried to used white out and it went all over the case so i figured i should jsut throw it away and cause of how aggravaiting the case had been i figured i would break it along the way. After i bent it up i remembered reading something about the case scratching the iphone online before i got my iphone or the case. i researched all of this before i actually got the phone for my birthday. anyway i decided to check my phone out and sure enough there's perfect straight like scratched up and down my phone on the back side. they're more like gashes. where my iphone is white it is hard to really see the scratches so i took a black light and shined it on the phone and the scratches are horrible. i mean they're really pathetic so actually be there. i can't believe i wasted 30 dollars on something that messed up my 300 dollar phone.

William,

Yes ... well kind of. I went a different route. I now have a Skin on my iPhone from BestSkinsEver I believe. If I didn't have two toddlers ... that would be all I would use because it works great! But, with the two kids I also have a silicone case that serves as shock protection. With the skin on the phone there is no way anything can scratch the phone or screen. Also it actually covered up many of the scratches the Case Mate Naked Case caused, which was nice.
